West Muskingum High Schools College Credit Plus Information Meeting

Any student interested in taking dual enrollment classes for the 2020-2021 school year must attend this meeting. Ohio State University Newark, Ohio University Zanesville, and Zane State representatives will all be present for the information meeting.
*Every Student Succeeds Act - ESSA
Federal law requires schools to release the names, addresses, and numbers of all high school students to military recruiters (Section 8025 of the Every Student Succeeds Act - ESSA).
Parents, please email Mrs. Sheck at email@example.com if you would like to "OPT-OUT" of having your child's name and contact information on this list. Mrs. Sheck will be submitting the list to recruiters on Tuesday, November 26th.

Applying to College
Mrs. Sheck posts daily updates in Google Classroom to update seniors on next steps in the college application process. Mrs. Sheck's door is also always open to help any student who needs one-on-one help! You can also set up a one-on-one appointment to get help with the application process at Scholarship Central by visiting www.scholarshipcentral.org.
** Please note: When requesting Mrs. Sheck as your "counselor recommender" in the Common Application, you must use her old email, firstname.lastname@example.org. If you use email@example.com, it will not link to her Common Application account.
MidEast Presentation Day for Sophomores

West Muskingum Guidance Nights
*Every grade level had a Guidance Night in October or November. If you missed it, there are hard copies for each class in the School Counseling lobby and the presentation is posted on each grade level's Guidance Google Classroom.
MidEast Buffalo and MidEast Zanesville Campus Showcases
Students who were interested in visiting each campus took field trips during the school day in November.

*This code must be entered when registering for the ACT so a copy of your scores will be sent to WMHS. Otherwise WMHS will not have access to submit test scores on your behalf.
Next ACT test dates:
December 14th (Regular registration deadline is November 8th)
*West Muskingum High School will administer the ACT (without writing) to every Junior in February
Juniors will be taking
Visit https://www.mccf.org/Scholarship-Central/ACT-SAT-Prep/ to sign up for the February ACT prep classes at Scholarship Central (Muskingum County Community Foundation).
You must go to the website listed above to get the registration packet. A $20 deposit (cash or check), a signed Deposit Agreement form, and a completed Scholarship Central questionnaire are required to hold a spot in the class. Online payment and registration is not available.
