For the past two years, the United States Department of Agriculture has offered waivers to Child Nutrition Programs across the United States, allowing these programs to offer all students breakfast and lunch at no cost to families. Unfortunately, these waivers expired on June 30, 2022. West Muskingum Schools and the Ohio Department of Education cannot extend the permissions for no-cost meals for all students.
Starting with the 2022-2023 school year, school meals will still be available to all students; however, they will not be free to all students.
Households can begin applying for free or reduced-price meal benefits by downloading the application, or submitting their information electronically through PaySchools Central on the Food Services webpage at https://www.westmschools.org/content/48.
