Hello And Welcome to my web page!!!! I am Mrs. Berkfield and I am an 7th and 8th grade math teacher here at West Muskingum Middle School. 2021-2022 starts my 19th year of teaching and all of those years are here at West!!! I am a graduate from Bishop Rosecrans High School and Ohio University-Zanesville. I have also earned my Masters degree through MaryGrove College.

I am an Ohio State Buckeye fan and Columbus Blue Jackets fan .  I love to watch and play most sports. I spend my spare time with my 2 children, Boone and Finley and my husband Tye. We love to travel, garden, play outside and be creative. We love getting together with family and friends as well. 

West Muskingum Middle School is a great place to work and learn. It is surrounded by a caring staff, administration, teachers and community.The best part of West is definitely the students. I have worked with so many great students and families in this community. I look forward to meeting and working with my new group of students and families this year. 

I have high educational and character expectations of my students. Character traits like kindness, tolerance, respect, responsibility, honesty and perseverance are just as important in my class as the math content that I teach. We will work daily at accomplishing all of them. Go Tornadoes!!!!!!!
