To be a substitute in the West Muskingum School District, please review the following guidelines:

TEACHER: Contact the Muskingum Valley Educational Service Center at
740-452-4518 regarding qualifications and being placed on the certified substitute list.

PARAPROFESSIONAL: Contact the principal in the building you wish to sub. Information about paraprofessional qualifications are on the Muskingum Valley Educational Service Center website.​​​

COOK or CUSTODIAN: Submit a Support Staff application to the assistant superintendent's office at 4880 West Pike, Zanesville. 

BUS DRIVER: To be a substitute bus driver, you must have the following minimum requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Have a high school diploma
• Must have or be able to obtain a valid CDL with passenger and school bus endorsement
• Current satisfactory BCI/FBI checks
• Current satisfactory personal driving record on file at BMV
• Must be able to pass physical and drug testing

Complete the Support Staff application and submit it to Conrad Wilkins, Transportation Coordinator, at cwilkins@westmschools.org or 4880 West Pike, Zanesville.
